Cushman Watt Scout Center
Los Angeles, CA

The Boy Scouts of America Cushman Wakefield Scout Service Center is an amazing new home for the Los Angeles Area Council operations which serves over 54,000 youth every year. The center will provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to learn the responsibilities of participating in citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. They will do this through the many scouting events, training programs, and outdoor programs that are all held at the center. By developing leadership skills and basic core values their personal growth will thrive.
Tangram was called upon by John Cushman, III, Chairman of Cushman and Wakefield, Inc. to furnish the new facility to reflect on the youth the council serves. Combining handsome architecture with an attractive interior aesthetic that Nestor & Gaffney Architects with the collaboration of the Tangram team of Steve Cunningham, Lindsey Peck, Belinda May, and Rafael Gonzalez to create the masterpiece!
The building’s interior is highlighted with over 35 beautiful Steelcase Walden and Garland casegood offices with a small work area consisting of Steelcase Kick. The overall seating featured Steelcase Think task chairs, and both A la Carte and England guest chairs that were featured in complimentary palettes for the overall natural work environment. The conference rooms are elegantly shown with Steelcase Convene tables and Steelcase Wood Theorom chairs which were all donated on behalf of Tangram.
Tangram’s complete contributions totaled over $50,000 which meant so much to the Boy Scouts Council and John Cushman, III that they honored Joe Lozowski, President and CEO of Tangram with an appreciation banquet dinner held in June.
