## Meet Matt Fahrner: Bringing Four Decades of Tile Expertise to Our Estimating Team
We're excited to officially welcome Matt Fahrner to the Tangram Construction Trades family as our newest Estimator. While Matt has been contributing his expertise as an independent contractor since late 2020, we're thrilled to have him join our team full-time.
With 38 years in the tile industry, Matt brings a depth of experience that's increasingly rare in today's commercial construction landscape. His journey began in the family business—a large tile contracting operation where he learned the trade from the ground up, starting in the tile warehouse and eventually mastering every aspect of the business.
## A Foundation Built on Family Values
Matt's approach to work has been profoundly shaped by his father, who instilled in him the principles of quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. This foundation served him well as he transitioned from hands-on tile work to estimating and project management roles, eventually building his own businesses from the ground up.
"I look forward to learning new ways and a vision that TCT uses on their approach to a project," Matt explains. "I bring 38 years of tile experience from growing up in a large tile family business. Starting my own businesses from ground-up will hopefully help the TCT estimating team further their understanding of tile vs flooring and add that extra for the client."

Originally from Los Gatos, California, Matt now calls Carmichael home. When he's not crafting precise estimates, you'll likely find him planning his next trip to Ireland or browsing Amazon for his latest find. His guilty pleasure? Ice cream—a well-deserved treat after long days ensuring our projects start on solid ground.
And if you happen to hear classic rock echoing from the estimating department, that's Matt's soundtrack of choice. As a dedicated Rolling Stones fan, he believes good music makes for better work.
