When she's not in the office, you'll find Rachel spending the weekends with loved ones, tending to the garden or jumping on the next DIY project around the house. What type of company did you work at previously and what was your role there?
I was an Account Executive at a flooring company
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
I am definitely working on our garden or a DIY house project, some form of exercise, hanging out with my husband and children and seeing extended family.
When people visit your town, what are the top local spots you recommend?
There are so many good ones, its hard to choose. Obviously the beach. I love Hollyhock House, Descanso Gardens, a day trip to Santa Barbara and random restaurants around town.
What's a topic you wish you knew more about or a skill you want to learn?
Probably my cooking skills :)
Tell us about the best or most memorable meal you've cooked or eaten!
My husband and I were in Kyoto, (we were dating at the time) and met up with a friend of a friend who took us on a food tour that included Yakitori and every type of dessert with green tea in existence. It was a delicious, unexpected and beautiful adventure.
What is your favorite memory from the past year?
We took a great family vacation to NYC last May. We explored the city and the subways, spent lots of time with fun cousins in Brooklyn and went to a wedding at a bar.
Show us your true colors! Which professional and/or college teams do you cheer for?
Go Sports! I am not much of a sports nut, but in our house we religiously watch cycling events like the Tour De France, the Vuelta and the Giro.
What are you most looking forward to at Tangram and what do you hope to bring to the team?
I am looking forward to meeting the team, selling a more specialized product and bringing in lots of new customers!
