Overview:

The UCLA Anderson School of Management, the graduate business school at the University of California, Los Angeles, is one of the most well-renowned professional schools in the nation. The school, located in the Westwood neighborhood of LA, offers several different degree and non-degree programs to help further their students’ professional and scholastic goals.

The Anderson School of Management completed their newest expansion in 2019. The new hall, dubbed the Marion Anderson Hall, is a four-story, 60,000-square-foot building dedicated to classrooms, workspaces and event spaces. Tangram worked closely with architecture firm Gensler to deliver the desired aesthetic for each floor of the building. The school was looking to furnish the beautiful, airy building with equally beautiful furniture in a clean and neutral color palate. The goal was to make the space feel beautiful and inviting while remaining highly functional for their heavily trafficked areas. Tangram helped achieve this by using a mix of primarily Steelcase, Coalesse and Viccarbe products.

The result is a state-of-the-art facility where the furniture complements the architecture so perfectly, it looks as though it was designed just for the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
