The Coca-Cola concession space on the upper concourse was ready for a transformation that would capture the energy of downtown Los Angeles while standing out among the arena's many dining and retail options.
The 20,000 square foot space needed to balance two critical demands: creating a distinctive brand environment that felt welcoming and authentic, while withstanding the relentless foot traffic of one of America's busiest sports and entertainment venues. The existing flooring couldn't keep pace with the constant flow of visitors, and maintenance demands were eating into operational efficiency during the arena's packed event schedule.
How we brought the vision to life
Tangram partnered closely with Ashley Donohue Design to reimagine the concession's foundation, literally and figuratively. After careful evaluation of the space's unique challenges – from crowd dynamics to the demanding event calendar – the team specified Bentley Mills Luxury Vinyl Planks as the ideal solution. This wasn't simply about durability; it was about creating a floor that could tell Coca-Cola's story while maintaining its integrity under pressure.
The installation process required precise coordination with the arena's operational schedule, working around events and ensuring minimal disruption to the venue's busy calendar. The team selected a clean matte finish that would deliver an industrialized home-feel, giving the Coca-Cola space its own personality within the bustling concourse environment. Every plank was positioned with the understanding that this floor would welcome millions of visitors over its lifetime.
