While officially established in 1984, this family-owned fuel and oil distributor has roots that run much deeper in California's Central Valley. Built on unwavering principles of customer service, product quality, reliability, and safety, Greg's had earned their reputation one relationship at a time. When the company made the strategic decision to construct a new facility in Bakersfield, they faced a unique challenge: how do you honor decades of tradition while creating a workspace that reflects modern business practices?

How we brought the vision to life
Through Greg's collaboration with Skarphol Frank Associates, Tangram joined the project team in 2017 with a clear mission: create a comprehensive furniture solution that would transform every corner of the new facility. Our designers understood that this wasn't just about selecting furniture—it was about crafting spaces that would tell Greg's story and support their business objectives.
We developed a holistic approach that addressed every functional area, from the client-facing reception space to the operational back offices. The design strategy centered on premium Steelcase and Hon systems, carefully selected for their reputation for durability and performance—qualities that aligned perfectly with Greg's own standards. Key selections included Steelcase Answer workstations for collaborative efficiency, Leap chairs for all-day comfort, and elegant Coalesse Bindu seating that elevated the aesthetic while maintaining functionality. Each piece was chosen not just for its individual merit, but for how it would contribute to the cohesive, modern environment Greg's leadership envisioned.
