They needed their new space furnished quickly and within a strict budget, but every vendor they approached quoted the same daunting timeline: six months for delivery and installation.
This extended leadtime created a significant operational challenge for Spectrum VoIP. Their business couldn't afford to wait half a year to get employees settled into a productive workspace. Adding complexity to their situation, the company had invested heavily in Steelcase furniture at their existing Plano headquarters and wanted to maintain visual and functional consistency across both locations. Finding a solution that could deliver speed, affordability, and brand cohesion seemed nearly impossible through traditional furniture procurement channels.
How we brought the vision to life
Tangram Interiors recognized the unique constraints facing Spectrum VoIP and introduced them to AMQ, an affordable Steelcase brand that specialized in faster turnaround times without sacrificing quality. This strategic partnership offered the perfect bridge between Spectrum VoIP's existing Steelcase investment and their urgent timeline requirements. The design team carefully curated a furniture package that would seamlessly integrate with the company's established aesthetic while meeting their accelerated schedule.
The solution centered around AMQ's Kinex height-adjustable benching system, which provided the same functionality as higher-end Steelcase products but with significantly improved delivery times. Tangram paired this with AMQ's Bodi work chairs, Revi storage solutions, and 3F privacy screens to create a comprehensive workspace package. The partnership between Tangram and AMQ extended beyond simple product selection, with both teams collaborating closely on design details to ensure exceptional fit and finishes. The project also benefited from Steelcase financing options, which helped Spectrum VoIP manage cash flow during their expansion phase.
