Joe's Top 7 Product Picks - NeoCon 2023

NeoCon showcased several innovative furniture designs. Among the notable ones, Steelcase featured the Ocular Coupe3 and Coupe5 tables, which are designed for small 3-5 person meetings with a unique shape that creates an equitable experience for in-person and remote participants. The table features tech integration, including power pods and a drum base that houses technology. Another standout was the Nucraft Flow Credenza. The credenza is customizable, including hidden power cubbies and a monitor lift, making it ideal for multi-use meeting rooms. Other highlights at NeoCon included the Hightower Sui Chair, the HALCON OPTIC table, the Moooi Pallana Light, the Kimball Ezzeri chair, and the Smith System Flowform Learn Lounge. Each product showcased integrated technology and thoughtful design details.

Another NeoCon for the books! It's always incredible to experience the showrooms and products in person and I walked away inspired by the innovation and thoughtful design details. Themes of integrated tech, elevated Zoom rooms, playful shapes, flexible learning spaces and residential-inspired healthcare spaces caught my attention throughout many showrooms. Here are the top 7 products that really wowed me at the Mart.

1. Steelcase Ocular Coupe5

Steelcase Ocular Coupe5

The Ocular Arc7 wowed at last year's NeoCon, but this year, Steelcase featured the Ocular Coupe3 and Coupe5 for smaller 3-5 person meetings. The unique table shape improves sightlines and creates a more equitable experience for in-person and remote meeting participants. With a drum base to house tech; a beautiful two-tone top with an aperture that allows for routing access for power, microphones, and meeting controllers on top of the table; and power pods for easy and seamless plug-in, this table visually wows while optimizing hybrid collaboration.

Why It's a Top Pick: In today's world, every meeting room needs to be equipped with tech to support remote participants. For this reason, a table that supports a smaller group and is aesthetically beautiful while integrating A/V tech is the full package.

2. Nucraft Flow Credenza (custom monitor lift-up)

In multi-use meeting rooms and open floor plans, Flow Credenza brings functionality and modern appeal to your unique space.

Why It's a Top Pick: The ability to customize this credenza to incorporate a monitor lift and hidden power cubbies goes a long way in multi-purpose spaces and allows for a modern and clean tech-free zone when not in use.

3. Hightower Sui Chair

Hightower Sui Chair

Not just a desk or just a chair, Sui takes form and function to new heights. Swivel to use the seat back as a work surface, or keep turning for a comfortable resting place.

Why It's a Top Pick: Today's office needs to be flexible and dynamic and this seating option is a fun play on a touchdown option.

4. HALCON OPTIC

HALCON OPTIC

This beautiful table harmonizes aesthetics with technical excellence. Its curved shape improves sightlines and connectivity is seamlessly integrated to support the effortless use of leading-edge technologies.

Why It's a Top Pick: There's a reason this table won 4 awards at this year's NeoCon. The tech integration element is incredibly seamless and it's wildly cool to experience in person.

5. Moooi Pallana Light

Moooi Pallana Light

Pallana’s mechanically joined classic shapes create a dynamic and adaptable design, making it a playful task light.

Why It's a Top Pick: It's like an elevated and much more aesthetic ring light that you can adjust to best light participants in a meeting room. Plus it adds a lot of warmth and a cool element to the space.

6. Kimball Ezzeri

Kimball Ezzeri

Beautifully crafted and insightfully intuitive, Ezzeri combines innovative ergonomic support with purposeful and inviting design to encourage positive interactions during the delivery of care.

Why It's a Top Pick: All I had to do was sit in Ezzeri to be sold. I imagine this makes the patient experience far more comfortable and welcoming.

7. Smith System Flowform Learn Lounge

Smith System Flowform Learn Lounge

Learn Lounge is a soft, yet highly supportive, engaged sit for students.

Why It's a Top Pick: The firm seat and upright back create for a comfortable experience that still requires active participation. I love that it's on wheels to allow for a flexible classroom as well.
