The Saudi Arabian Government has been reportedly forging ties with an Israeli spyware company, aiming to track and control dissidents worldwide. NSO Group, an Israeli technology firm blamed for spyware programmes assisting authoritarian governments, is alleged to be at the centre of Saudi's efforts according to academic and Middle East expert Dr Marc Owen Jones. An investigation by The Citizen Lab researchers found unusual patterns of cross-border killings, indicating synchronicity between murders and the imposition of NSO's Pegasus spyware.
