# Tangram Ten: Carlos Galeas

We're excited to welcome **Carlos Galeas** to Tangram's Flooring Light Construction team as Project Manager. With over a decade of construction leadership experience, Carlos brings both technical expertise and an infectious personality that makes him the kind of team member you'd want in your corner—whether managing a complex commercial project or surviving a desert island adventure.

## From Louisiana Entrepreneur to California Project Leader

Carlos's construction journey began with entrepreneurship. After owning and operating his own construction business in Louisiana for 10 years, he relocated to Southern California in 2011, where he's been refining his project management skills ever since. His experience spans the full spectrum of construction operations, from initial project takeoffs and bidding to maintaining seamless communication between homeowners, architects, designers, and engineers.

"I was responsible for the day-to-day operations," Carlos explains. "That included scheduling inspections, keeping projects on schedule and on budget, and ensuring every stakeholder stayed informed throughout the process."

## Getting to Know Carlos: Ten Questions

**What's your hometown?** La Ceiba, Honduras

**What type of company did you work for previously?** Home building companies, where I managed comprehensive project operations including takeoffs, bidding, stakeholder communication, inspection scheduling, and budget management.

**What's a fun fact about yourself?** I enjoy making people laugh—it's one of my favorite ways to connect with team members and clients.

**If you were trapped on an island, which three things would you want?** A machete for hunting, a mosquito net that doubles as a fishing net, and a fire starter for cooking. Practical survival thinking meets resourceful problem-solving.

**What's the craziest thing you've ever eaten?** Alligator—and yes, it really does taste like chicken.

**What are you most looking forward to at Tangram?** I'm eager to learn about the different trades that Tangram works with in the construction industry. There's always something new to discover in this field.

**Go-to karaoke song?** "Super Freak" by Rick James—because if you're going to perform, you might as well commit to it.

**If you're throwing a party, what's the theme?** Star Wars, with Harrison Ford as the guest of honor. Who wouldn't want to chat with Han Solo?

**What do you hope to bring to the Tangram team?** My general construction knowledge and experience to help Tangram continue growing in the construction field.

## Why Carlos Matters for Commercial Design

In commercial interior design projects, the success often hinges on seamless coordination between design vision and construction reality. Carlos's background managing complex stakeholder relationships—from architects to engineers to end users—makes him particularly valuable for commercial projects where multiple disciplines must work in harmony.

His experience with scheduling, budget management, and quality control directly translates to the kind of project oversight that keeps commercial design installations on track and within scope. Plus, his ability to maintain team morale through humor and positive energy can make the difference between a stressful project and an enjoyable collaboration.

## Welcome to the Team

Carlos's combination of technical expertise, leadership experience, and personality makes him a natural fit for Tangram's growing construction capabilities. Whether he's coordinating a complex flooring installation or lightening the mood during a challenging project phase, we're confident he'll be a valuable addition to our team.

Welcome aboard, Carlos—we're excited to see what we'll build together.
