# Meet Daryl Nishimiya: Bringing 25 Years of A/V Expertise to Tangram Technology
We're thrilled to welcome Daryl Nishimiya to the Tangram Technology team as our newest Sales Executive. With a quarter-century of experience in audio-visual sales engineering and management, Daryl brings the kind of deep industry knowledge that transforms client relationships and project outcomes.
## From Global Stages to Commercial Spaces
Daryl's career path reads like a who's who of the audio industry. Most recently, he spent years with Sennheiser—the German audio giant whose microphones have captured the voices of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Bruno Mars on stages worldwide. Starting with a three-state territory covering California, Nevada, and Hawaii, Daryl later transitioned into field sales engineering for Sennheiser's Unified Communications division, focusing on headset solutions.
This experience gives him a unique perspective on how audio technology shapes both performance venues and corporate environments. "The best thing about audio visual is going into an unknown environment, finding out what their needs, pains, and visions are, and figuring out how to make it happen," Daryl explains.
## Problem-Solving at the Core
What sets Daryl apart isn't just his technical expertise—it's his passion for creative problem-solving. In commercial design projects, audio-visual integration often presents complex challenges that require both technical knowledge and innovative thinking. Whether it's designing sound systems for open office environments or creating presentation spaces that actually work, Daryl thrives on turning client visions into reality.
"I have a lot of passion for problem solving and coming up with solutions," he says. "I hope to use that passion to grow Tangram Technology and also assist Tangram team members with projects where they need A/V support."
## Beyond the Office
When he's not solving A/V challenges, Daryl pursues another kind of exploration—he's an avid traveler who's visited five continents and has his sights set on completing all seven. Currently based in Redondo Beach, California, he grew up in Hawaii, bringing that island problem-solving approach to complex technical challenges.
Interestingly, his childhood dream was to become a firefighter—a goal that came to an abrupt end when his experimental approach to fire safety (involving gasoline and garden hoses) alarmed his mother. Fortunately for the commercial design world, that early pivot led him toward a career in audio technology.
