## Meet Our Team: Jen Coats Brings Fresh Energy to Tangram's DTLA Office
We're excited to introduce the newest member of our downtown Los Angeles team: **Jen Coats**, who has joined us as DTLA Office Manager. With her unique blend of design background, organizational expertise, and genuine passion for bringing people together, Jen is already making her mark on our growing team.
### From Fashion to Commercial Design
Jen brings a wealth of experience from the design and fashion industries to her new role. As a graduate of FIDM with a degree in Merchandise and Marketing, she most recently worked in production at Garrett Leight California Optical. This cross-industry experience gives her a fresh perspective on project management and client relations—skills that translate beautifully into the commercial design world.
### Getting to Know Jen
We sat down with Jen to learn more about what drives her professionally and personally:
**What draws you to the design industry?** "Being a designer was actually my dream job growing up. There's something incredible about creating spaces and experiences that bring people together."
**What are you most excited about in your new role?** "I'm excited to learn more about Tangram and really get to know both the team and our clients. Understanding what makes each project unique is what I'm looking forward to most."
**What do you hope to bring to the team?** "I love creating events and building community. I actually started an Autism Awareness Group at my son's school in 2016, focusing on education and kindness. I hope to bring that same spirit of creativity and collaboration to Tangram. I'm a team player who values organization, attention to detail, and clear communication."
### Beyond the Office
When she's not coordinating projects or managing the downtown office, you'll find this Long Beach native enjoying California's food scene (tacos are her go-to choice) and spending time with family. Her favorite animal? The elephant—because family loyalty resonates deeply with her values.
Jen's event management experience and natural ability to connect with people make her an ideal fit for our collaborative approach to commercial design. Her attention to detail and organizational skills will be invaluable as we continue to grow our downtown presence.
