# Meet the Team: Katlynn Melendez Brings Fresh Energy to Tangram's Fresno Office
We're excited to introduce the newest member of our Fresno team: **Katlynn Melendez**, who goes by Kat. As our new Customer Service Representative, she's bringing three years of sales support and inside sales experience to help strengthen our client relationships.
## Getting to Know Kat
Kat's professional journey includes extensive experience in inside sales, most recently covering groundwater, irrigation, and key HVAC accounts across the entire United States for a water filtration company. Her background in technical sales gives her a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of commercial projects and client needs.
Born in Santa Maria but raised in the Fresno/Clovis area, Kat knows the local market well. She recently celebrated a personal milestone by purchasing her first brand new car—a 2018 model that she's particularly proud of. You might spot her cruising around town listening to oldies music.
## What Sets Her Apart
When we asked Kat about her goals at Tangram, her response highlighted exactly why we knew she'd be a great fit: *"I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can in my position, so I can excel in my role and become an asset to Tangram and the future of Tangram."*
This growth mindset, combined with her positive attitude and willingness to tackle new challenges, makes her an ideal addition to our customer service team. Her experience handling complex accounts across multiple industries will be invaluable as we continue to serve diverse commercial clients.
## Beyond the Office
Kat brings an interesting perspective to team lunches—while she might pass on the donuts, she's always up for a good vegan grilled cheese. Her compassionate nature showed early when, at just 18 years old, she stepped up to raise a friend's baby for nearly a year when they couldn't.
If she could have lunch with anyone, she'd choose soul singer Brenton Wood, hoping he'd break into song during the meal.

As commercial interior design continues to evolve, having team members who understand both the technical and relationship sides of our business becomes increasingly important. Kat's combination of sales experience, local market knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for learning positions her well to support our growing client base.
