# Tangram Ten: Meet Ricky Wolter
We're thrilled to welcome **Ricky Wolter** as our newest Sales Executive, bringing 15 years of commercial furniture expertise to the Tangram team. A California native based in Wildomar, Ricky will be focusing his efforts throughout the Inland Empire, where his deep local knowledge and industry connections will serve our clients well.
Most recently with Staples Office Furniture, Ricky has built a reputation not just for his professional expertise, but for being the person everyone wants on their team. His colleagues know him as the go-to guy who always knows the best spots in town and the fastest route to get there.
## Getting to Know Ricky: Ten Questions
We sat down with Ricky to learn more about his background, philosophy, and what he's bringing to Tangram.
**What's your best advice for someone just starting in commercial design?** "Always be honest with the client. Trust is everything in this industry."
**What are you known for among friends?** "Being fun to be around and knowing where to go and the fastest way to get there. I'm also apparently the #1 cheer dad, according to my daughter!"
**What's something that should be taught in school but isn't?** "Financial literacy - how to manage banking accounts and credit cards. These basics would set people up for success."
**What was your favorite project during your time with Staples and KI?** "The Ria Financial project stands out because the client trusted me to step outside their usual mahogany and black palette. I was able to incorporate splashes of color that really transformed their space. It's rewarding when clients embrace design choices that push beyond their comfort zone."
**What are you most excited about in your new role at Tangram?** "Working with the industry leader instead of always having to find creative ways to compete against Tangram. It's exciting to be part of the team setting the standard."
**Dream job growing up?** "I wanted to be a teacher. I think that desire to help and guide people translates well into what I do now."
**Time travel - past or future?** "Future, definitely. I love technology and I'm curious to see how it evolves. Plus, I'd want to make sure my kids grew up the right way."
