## Meet Rori Bower: Bringing Fresh Perspective to Commercial Design
We're thrilled to introduce Rori Bower, the newest addition to our Fresno team as Sales and Design Support Intern. As she pursues her Interior Design degree at Cal State Fresno, Rori is diving headfirst into the practical world of commercial design—and we couldn't be more excited to have her perspective on board.
A Clovis native with a passion for adventure and an admitted Harry Potter obsession, Rori brings the kind of enthusiasm that makes great design happen. Here's what she shared about joining the Tangram family:
### Getting to Know Rori
**What drew you to interior design?** Family connections played a big role—several relatives and friends work in the field. But it was a chance encounter with a Cal State Fresno student who raved about the program that sealed the deal for Rori.
**How would you describe yourself?** "Outdoors-y, adventurous, and sassy"—three qualities that promise to bring fresh energy to our design process.
**Dream purchase if you won the lottery?** A house in South Lake Tahoe. We can already picture the design possibilities.
**Personal catchphrase?** "Whatever happens, happens"—a refreshingly flexible mindset for the ever-evolving world of commercial design.
### Why This Matters for Commercial Design
Rori's journey highlights something important in our industry: the value of bringing academic knowledge into real-world practice. Her excitement about seeing "the ins and outs of commercial design and how it actually works compared to what I am doing in school" reminds us why internship programs are crucial for developing the next generation of design professionals.
For established designers, working with emerging talent like Rori offers fresh perspectives on current design education and new approaches to problem-solving. It's a two-way street that benefits both mentors and interns.
**Fun fact:** Rori admits to having "an amazing talent of always spilling food on my clothes"—proof that even future design professionals are perfectly human.
### Looking Forward
As Rori settles into her role supporting sales and design operations, we're excited to see how her academic foundation translates into practical commercial applications. Her enthusiasm for learning the business side of design—from client relationships to project execution—represents exactly the kind of comprehensive understanding our industry needs.
Welcome to the Tangram family, Rori. We can't wait to see what adventures await.
