Collectors
A neutral and functional space with jewel-toned pops of color
Understanding what drives the need for change
When Collectors, a rapidly growing authentication and grading service for coins, trading cards, sports memorabilia, and autographs, outgrew their existing space, they faced a significant challenge. Their expanding 100-person team needed a completely furnished 150,000 square foot facility in Santa Ana, California that could support their specialized work while fostering collaboration and productivity.
The company required a comprehensive furniture solution that would transform their new space into a fully functional headquarters. From reception areas that would make strong first impressions on clients to open workspaces that could accommodate their growing team, plus breakrooms for relaxation and multiple conference rooms for meetings and presentations, every area needed careful consideration. The furniture had to be both durable enough to withstand daily use and sophisticated enough to reflect their professional brand.
How we brought the vision to life
Tangram partnered with Mul-Mac to create a complete furniture collection that would bring Collectors' new space to life. The design strategy centered on selecting pieces that balanced durability with functionality, ensuring the workspace could handle the demands of a busy authentication business while maintaining an inspiring atmosphere for employees.
The furniture palette featured neutral and organic finishes as the foundation, creating a sophisticated and timeless backdrop throughout the space. To energize the environment and add personality, the design team strategically incorporated jewel-toned fabric accents across seating and soft furnishings. This approach created visual interest while maintaining professional appeal, with task chairs, conference tables, and ancillary pieces working together to support various work styles and activities throughout the facility.
