Overview:

Tangram partnered with The Trade Desk to deliver a fully integrated furniture solution for their expansive Bellevue office. Designed to reflect the company’s commitment to both innovation and employee well-being, the two-floor workspace was conceived with a focus on functionality, flexibility, and Pacific Northwest-inspired design.

Project Goals

The Trade Desk aimed to establish a future-ready, people-first workplace with seamless continuity across its U.S. offices while emphasizing regional identity. Key requirements included:

  • A centralized location for employees commuting into the office 3–4 days per week
  • Dedicated workstations for every employee to foster ownership and comfort
  • Generous shared spaces for collaboration, connection, and wellness
  • A consistent office standard with opportunities for unique local character
  • Efficient delivery on a tight 6-week schedule

Spaces Furnished:

  • Workstations: 230 fully outfitted workstations, meeting high standards for ergonomics, functionality, and style, aligned with The Trade Desk’s national office specifications.
  • Meeting & Huddle Rooms: A range of enclosed and semi-private rooms equipped for both scheduled and spontaneous collaboration, all furnished for acoustic comfort and tech readiness.
  • Private Offices: Sleek and well-appointed spaces providing executives and team leaders with focused work environments.
  • Orangebox Campers & Dens: These dynamic, modular zones offered flexible, informal gathering areas for ideation and quick standups, tailored to promote in-person collaboration.
  • Steelcase Ocular Tables with Markerboards: Strategically placed for visual ideation, these spaces support team-based workflows with writable surfaces and inviting shapes.
  • Social Hubs / Breakroom: Designed as vibrant gathering points with café-style furnishings and soft seating to support the company’s hospitality-driven amenities like breakfast and lunch service.
  • Mother’s Room & Wellness Room: Comfortable, private, and supportive environments that reflect The Trade Desk’s commitment to holistic employee support.
  • Isomi Custom Reception Desk: A sculptural, branded feature that makes a bold first impression while tying together the earthy, Pacific Northwest aesthetic.

Results and Impact

The result is a bold, highly functional workplace that celebrates The Trade Desk’s brand identity while honoring local context. Key outcomes include:

  • On-time and under-deadline delivery despite an aggressive 6-week timeframe
  • High employee satisfaction, especially around individual workstations and collaboration zones
  • Cohesive brand experience that remains consistent across locations but uniquely reflects Bellevue’s culture through custom finishes and design elements
  • Enhanced team interaction thanks to well-placed informal collaboration zones, including campers and dens

The project underscores the impact of thoughtful real estate investment in the hybrid work era—where purpose-built, well-furnished spaces continue to draw teams together and foster innovation.
