The Challenge

Understanding what drives the need for change

Risewell Homes set out to redefine their Irvine headquarters as a workplace that reflects their identity as a modern homebuilder—where residential comfort meets refined, high-end design. Located across the 10th and 11th floors, the 40,000-square-foot space needed to support over 100 employees while doubling as a destination for connection, collaboration, and entertainment.

The vision extended beyond a standard office environment. Risewell aimed to create hospitality-driven spaces that would elevate the employee experience—featuring areas for gathering, hosting, and social engagement. At the same time, the space had to align with Gensler Newport’s architectural vision, which included premium finishes, custom millwork, and standout features like a circular boardroom and interconnecting stair. The challenge was to deliver a cohesive furniture solution that enhanced these elements while supporting a wide range of workplace needs.

Our Approach

How we brought the vision to life

Tangram partnered closely with Gensler Newport and the Risewell Homes team to deliver a fully integrated furniture solution that balanced performance with elevated design. Our strategy focused on creating a seamless experience across all environments—blending functionality, comfort, and visual impact.

We developed a comprehensive furniture package that supported both focused work and social interaction. Steelcase Answer Workstations and Architectural Response Kollection private offices provided ergonomic, high-performing solutions for daily productivity, while curated selections from RH, Bernhardt, Sandler Seating, and CUE brought a residential warmth to shared and hospitality spaces.

A key priority was activating amenity-rich environments that reflect Risewell’s culture. From the café and executive lounge to a multi-purpose game room featuring foosball and shuffleboard, each space was designed to encourage connection and engagement. Signature elements—like the custom round boardroom table with stone and leather inlay—reinforced the project’s refined material palette and attention to detail.

Our team ensured a seamless installation, aligning furniture solutions with the architectural vision and delivering a cohesive, design-forward workplace.
