## From Classroom to Showroom

Ashlee's career journey reflects the diverse paths that lead to commercial design success. After nearly a decade teaching 8th grade history, she transitioned to the commercial furniture industry, spending eight years at Steelcase. There, she progressed from Regional Education Leader to Dealer Business Manager for the Dallas-Fort Worth market—roles that perfectly positioned her to understand both the business and end-user sides of educational environments.

**"I have a large network here in Dallas, and know what and how a teacher thinks,"** Ashlee explains. **"Speaking their language has helped me be successful in the past."**

This firsthand classroom experience proves invaluable when designing learning environments. Too often, commercial design decisions are made without input from the educators who will actually use these spaces daily. Ashlee bridges that gap.

A Dallas resident since 2006, Ashlee has watched the city's design landscape evolve. Her local connections span both the education and business communities—networks that will benefit Tangram's continued growth in the market.
