# Meet Emilie Lesser: Our New Student Intern
We're excited to welcome Emilie Lesser to the Tangram team as our newest Student Intern. This Northern Arizona University student brings a unique blend of event production experience and genuine enthusiasm for commercial design that we know will enrich our studio.
## From Stage Management to Interior Design
Before joining us, Emilie worked as an Assistant Stage Manager at Vision Matrix Productions, an event production company where she honed her organizational skills and learned to manage complex projects under tight deadlines. This background in live event coordination translates beautifully to the fast-paced world of commercial interior design, where attention to detail and project management are essential.
"Commercial design and LEED architecture are of great interest to me," Emilie shares. "I cannot wait to learn more about the industry through Tangram."
## Beyond the Office
When she's not studying or working, you'll likely find Emilie exploring the Central Coast. She's passionate about staying active, whether that's hiking local trails or discovering new spots in Ventura and Santa Barbara. Her hometown recommendations include Italia Deli & Bakery in Agoura Hills and The Stonehaus restaurant and vineyard—both reflecting her appreciation for quality experiences.
Emilie's diverse interests extend to sports (soccer, water polo, baseball, and hockey), Marvel movies, and travel. With international family connections, she dreams of using any extra time to explore the world and connect with loved ones abroad.
## What She Brings to Our Team
Emilie's background spans event production, graphic design, business, and interior design—a combination that offers fresh perspectives on commercial projects. Her experience coordinating live events has taught her to think on her feet and manage multiple moving parts, skills that directly benefit client projects.
"I hope to bring a unique perspective and an open mind to the team environment," she explains.
## Looking Forward
As Emilie settles into her role with us, we're particularly excited about her interest in sustainable design practices and LEED architecture. Her curiosity about these growing areas of commercial design aligns perfectly with industry trends toward more environmentally conscious workplace solutions.
Her enthusiasm for learning, combined with her diverse professional background, makes her a valuable addition to our studio. We look forward to watching her grow and contribute to our projects while gaining hands-on experience in commercial interior design.
Welcome to the team, Emilie! We're thrilled to have you aboard and excited to see where your journey in commercial design takes you.
