We're excited to welcome **Jesica Alvarado** to Tangram's Santa Fe Springs TCT team as our newest Estimator. With her background in commercial flooring and passion for precision, Jesica brings valuable experience that strengthens our capabilities in multi-family, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
## From Subcontractor to Team Member
Jesica joins us from the subcontractor side of the industry, where she specialized in estimating and bidding complex commercial flooring projects. Her hands-on experience managing projects from initial estimate through completion—including change orders, schedule of values, and material coordination—gives her a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to deliver successful outcomes.
"I estimated and bid multi-family, hospitality, and mixed-use projects," Jesica explains. "But I also ran projects from start to finish, which taught me how estimates translate into real-world execution."
## Beyond the Office
When she's not analyzing project specifications, you'll find Jesica exploring the coastal trails near her Long Beach home or spending quality time with family. Her weekend routine often includes movie marathons and hikes along ocean trails or Abalone Cove—perfect ways to recharge for the week ahead.
As someone her friends describe as "friendly, caring, and easy-going," Jesica brings a collaborative spirit that fits perfectly with Tangram's team-focused culture. And if you hear Foster the People playing in the office, you'll know whose playlist is on rotation.

Jesica is particularly excited about expanding her technical skills, especially in computer applications that can enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency. This drive for continuous improvement reflects the kind of growth mindset we value at Tangram.

One memorable moment that showcases Jesica's attention to detail? Two years ago, she decided to tackle cooking a perfect ribeye steak dinner from scratch. "I was extremely nervous about overcooking it," she recalls, "but it came out perfectly juicy and tender. Preparing the entire meal myself and having it taste amazing made it really special."
