# Welcome Back, Michelle Gibbs: From Entrepreneur to Team Player
We're excited to welcome Michelle Gibbs back to the Tangram Santa Fe Springs team as an Account Manager. Michelle brings a unique perspective to commercial interior design—having previously worked at Tangram as both an Account Manager and Senior Designer before launching her own interior design and project management firm.
## From Navy Kid to Design Professional
Michelle's journey began as a Navy kid, moving frequently before settling in Vienna, Virginia, which she calls home. This early experience with change and adaptation has served her well in the dynamic world of commercial design.
For the past 17 years, Michelle has worn many hats as owner and partner of her interior design and project management firm. Her comprehensive skill set spans:
- Full-scope interior design - Construction interior design and project management - Account management and move management - FF&E services and sales - Client relationship development
## Continuous Learning in Design
Michelle embodies the growth mindset essential in our evolving industry. She's currently pursuing LEED ID+C accreditation and studying for the NCIDQ—demonstrating her commitment to staying current with sustainable design practices and professional standards.
"I am looking forward to being back working in a team environment," Michelle shares. "I truly come from a 'teamwork makes the dream work' mentality."
## Beyond the Design Studio
When she's not immersed in design projects (which, admittedly, is most weekends), Michelle gravitates toward water and movement. You'll find her relaxing on the beach, kayaking in the ocean, roller skating, or perfecting her moves in hip-hop dance classes. Her love for the beach runs so deep that it's her go-to recommendation for anyone visiting her area.
Michelle's colleagues describe her as hardworking, friendly, and fun—qualities that shine through whether she's managing complex commercial projects or dancing to her favorite artist, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott.

Michelle's return represents a unique blend of entrepreneurial insight and collaborative spirit. Having run her own firm, she understands the full spectrum of client needs and project challenges. One thing you won't find Michelle doing? Cooking elaborate meals. As she puts it, "Any meal that I have not cooked is my favorite meal." We appreciate her honesty—and her focus on what she does best: creating exceptional commercial spaces.
