What Does Your Interior Design Say About Your Brand?

When you have a brand, it’s very important to keep all your interior design in keeping with it. For example, if your brand is young, hip, and cool, then your interior design should reflect that. And if your brand celebrates traditional values, then your interior design should reflect that, too.

Of course, you always have to keep your client in mind and give them the best possible experience in your offices or stores. But you also have to make sure that they remember your brand in the way that you’d like them to. Here are some tips:

Be Clear About Your Brand

If you are a newly-formed company, then you may not be entirely clear about your brand. So it’s best to think about exactly what type of company image/brand you want your customers to take away with them. What is your vision for your company? What is unique about your product? Once you think about these things, your brand will also become clear in your mind.

Communicate with Your Interior Designer

Once you’re clear about your brand, you’ll have to communicate this to your interior designer.

  • Branding: Let them know exactly what type of brand you’re going for and what type of consumer is likely to be most attracted to it.
  • Interiors: Let them know if you have a modern, contemporary, minimalist, industrial, traditional, bohemian, rustic, or shabby chic interior in mind.
  • Input: Discuss your brand with them and they will also be able to give you more ideas about the type of interior design that will be in keeping with your brand.

Visualize Your Interiors

It’s always a good idea to give your interior designer as much input as you can. Of course, there are some people who prefer to leave things up to their interior designers. If you feel like that, that’s fine. But, in general, it’s a good idea to communicate as much as possible.

But in order to do this, you also have to know what you want. So close your eyes and visualize your office/workspace in your mind.

  • What does it look like?
  • What colors are you using?
  • What decorative items do you have on the wall?
  • Do you have carpeting on the floor?
  • Do you have bright lighting?

If you can’t visualize in this way, you can also cut out pictures of commercial spaces from magazines or look at the ones available online and share them with your interior designer.
