Overview:

In 2024, a leading global media localization company completed its relocation to a newly constructed, state-of-the-art headquarters in Burbank, California. The 52,000-square-foot facility spans three floors and consolidates previously dispersed offices into a single unified workspace. As the furniture and technology provider, Tangram Interiors partnered with design firm HLW to bring to life an environment that supports both technical excellence and creative collaboration at the highest level.

Project Goals

The client aimed to establish a flagship location that would serve as the Western Hemisphere’s central hub for media localization, post-production, and client services. Core objectives included building world-class sound stages and production suites while also fostering a vibrant, people-centered workplace that inspires creativity and community. The space needed to reflect the company's global reputation, facilitate cutting-edge media workflows, and bring all key teams under one roof to enhance communication and innovation.

Solutions & Highlights

Tangram provided comprehensive solutions for both furniture and technology integration across a wide range of functional and social spaces. These included café areas, reception, lounges, social hubs, and sound booths, all designed to balance the technical requirements of a media production facility with the warmth and energy of a collaborative workplace.

Spaces Furnished:

  • Reception & Lounge Areas: Designed to offer a welcoming, professional aesthetic that reflects the client's stature in the media industry while allowing space for casual meetings and relaxation.
  • Café & Social Hub: A dynamic communal zone where employees gather, share ideas, and build culture—this area serves as a centerpiece for staff engagement across all floors.
  • Sound Booths & Technical Spaces: Ergonomically furnished and technically outfitted to meet the high-performance needs of voice recording, mixing, and post-production teams.

Tangram’s Approach:

With a deep understanding of the client’s operational and creative needs, Tangram selected furniture and technology solutions that seamlessly support hybrid workflows and post-production demands. The social hub, in particular, stands out as a unique gathering space designed to promote cross-team interaction and community building. The overall design celebrates natural flow, comfort, and functionality—each element supporting both heads-down production and social connectivity.

Results & Impact

The completed headquarters has successfully unified the client’s teams and services within a single, vibrant location—enhancing efficiency, fostering innovation, and reinforcing its brand as a global media leader. Tangram’s contributions helped bring a human-centered design ethos into a highly technical environment, resulting in a workplace that’s both high-performing and deeply inspiring. This project now stands as a benchmark for modern media workspaces that blend cutting-edge production with creative collaboration.
